It is amazing to me that so many people think Jesus was just a nice guy or a good teacher. Some also believe He was looking for nice, sincere people. Even those who claim to follow Him sometimes believe that He came to live and die simply to provide a mechanism for them to get to Heaven.
But Jesus was not just a nice guy. He was not just a good teacher. He wasn’t looking for admirers at all, and He certainly didn’t come to punch people’s “get out of Hell free” card. He did not leave room for the undecided, the luke-warm or the wishy-washy.
“Anyone who isn’t with me opposes me, and anyone who isn’t working with me is actually working against me.” – Luke 11:23
This is a convicting verse for me. I would encourage you to read it and let Jesus’ words convict you and compel you.
There are only two sides with regards to following Him.
