I got a lot of feedback after today’s message on Outflow toward family & friends. Apparently I’m not the only one who struggles to outflow to my family and friends in a consistent, obvious, relational way.
I am encouraged my a recent event in my own life. I am making a trip to Honduras this August and have sent out support letters to all of my family. I was honestly a little nervous about doing it, because I haven’t seen a lot of my extended family since my Mom & Dad moved to Florida ten years ago. I didn’t know how my support letters would be received.
But it has been very cool to see the response from some of my relatives, especially my next oldest brother John. He and I share a belief in God, but differ in our view of the Bible and its applicability today. We do not see eye-to-eye on everything. But despite our differences, I believe he knows I love him. I was VERY excited when he sent some money to support my trip. Awesome!
