I absolutely loved watching Eddie George play football for the Buckeyes. His combination of speed, power and class was a thing of beauty. He set more than his share of records as a Buckeye, including:
- Most Rushing Yards, Game: 314 on 36 attempts (1995 vs. Illinois)
- Most Rushing Yards, Season: 1,927 (1995)
- Most Rushing Yards Per Game, Season: 148.2 (1995)
- Most 100-Yard Rushing Games, Season: 12 (1995)
- Consecutive 100-Yard Rushing Games, Season: 12 (1995)
My oldest son Adam was born the year that Eddie set these records, but both of my kids know all about Eddie’s days as a Buckeye. How can that be?
Because I’ve told them about him…that’s how! I want them to know what a great football player looks like and acts like! I want them to have some appreciation for just how amazing Eddie was as a Buckeye!
The Psalmist wanted to do the same thing.
Let me proclaim your power to this new generation, your mighty miracles to all who come after me. Psalm 71:18 (NLT)
Whether it is the next physical generation or the next spiritual one, we have a responsibility to tell the people that come after us all about God! We have the joy of telling them about what He has done for us and how He has let us serve Him. The people that come after us need to hear about His mighty miracles.
Have your kids or friends or co-workers heard about God? Have they heard you tell the stories lately?
Proclaim His power to a new generation!
