We probably all have a family member or friend that needs to be in the presence of God. Whether they are having health issues, spiritual issues or relational issues, they need God more than ever. Some don’t even know they need Him. Some know it and they run to Him. Some know it, but they can’t get to Him by themselves.
When Jesus returned to Capernaum several days later, the news spread quickly that he was back home. Soon the house where he was staying was so packed with visitors that there was no more room, even outside the door. While he was preaching God’s word to them, four men arrived carrying a paralyzed man on a mat. They couldn’t bring him to Jesus because of the crowd, so they dug a hole through the roof above his head. Then they lowered the man on his mat, right down in front of Jesus. Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralyzed man, “My child, your sins are forgiven.” – Mark 2:1-5 (NLT)
My reminder for today is for us to be friends like the ones described here. Bring others “right down in front of Jesus”. Be the hands and feet of Jesus by just walking and talking and laughing with them. Most importantly, pray for them. Don’t ever feel like praying “isn’t enough”. Through prayer, we bring them right down in front of Jesus.
He can heal what we cannot. Bring them right down in front of Jesus. See what He might do. Bring them right down in front of Jesus. He is the One who heals and saves. Praise God for His love for us!
