Going Out on a Limb…

Out_on_a_limb I’m not sure if I’ll get any response on this, but I thought I’d go out on a limb today and ask you to tell us what your race has been looking like.

Where have you been in the Word lately?  What has God been teaching you?  What are you learning about Him and yourself?  Tell us about your successes and even your failures, what you’re learning from friends and family, and even from your kids.

Would you be willing to take a moment and share a bit a bit of your race here for others to read?  No worries on grammar or eloquence…God will most definitely use YOUR race to inspire the race of others who read this blog.

Go ahead…go out on a limb!

Great idea, Tom. I love to get a fresh glimpse of God through what He’s doing in others’ lives. For me, I started a challenging and in depth study on the book of Ruth with my small group. Lots of good questions to wrestle with about choices and following God when it’s tough. But the frustrating thing for me is that I have lost momentum in my relationship with God since Christmas. I was so focused and consistent and excited about what I was learning over Advent, and now I’ve had let it kind of die out as I have gotten distracted with settling back into every day routine. I always start the year with a day away spent totaly with the Lord where I can plan and reflect and give tnks and learn. i haven’t made that happen yet, and I definitely need to make it a priority.
