Our current sermon series is called “Running on Empty”. We have been recommending the book “Refuel” by Doug Fields to those that want to dig deeper into the subject of refueling lives that are running on empty.
I just ran across a great quote from this book today that I wanted to share with you:
God isn’t just into fine-tuning our manners. He wants to renovate our total character.
Oh, how true it is. God does want to change how we think. God does want to change how we live. But more than anything…more than everything…He wants to change who we are.
So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image. – 2 Corinthians 3:18 (NLT)
As believers we can see God’s glory, but we can also reflect it as we are changed to be more and more like Him. It is an amazing truth and promise.
